General Policies

Confirmation: You will receive a confirmation letter detailing your enrollment and account status prior to the first day of class. You will be contacted by telephone if your first choice is unavailable.

Payment:   A $15 one-time enrollment fee per family is required for new registrations.  An initial $60 deposit per child is required with this registration. Any remaining balance is due on or before the first day of class. A $10 late fee will be assessed to all outstanding accounts after week 3 of the semester. Please make checks payable to Miss Barb's Music Studio, Inc.   A $10 family discount is applied to each Kindermusik enrollment following the enrollment of your first child. A $20 discount is applied for sibling kits requested at the time of registration.

Home Resources: Home resources are included as part of your Kindermusik classroom experience and will be given to your child the first day of class. Please expect your materials on the second week of class if you enroll less than two weeks prior to the beginning of the semester. A full kit contains recorded music, instruments, and books all themed to continue your musical experience at home. A sibling kit is available for repeating families and does not include CD's or books. Please order a full kit if this is your family's first time taking a class; contact your educator to select a sibling kit if you have already taken this curriculum title with another child

Closings & Bad Weather: There will be no classes during a level 3 emergency.  We encourage you to make the decision to attend class or not based on your family's particular circumstances and comfort level with the ice and snow. 

Illness Policy:    Is it a cold? Is she teething? Is it contagious?   Parents often struggle over the decision of whether or not to send their child to preschool, Kindermusik, and other activities when their child appears ill. For your child's health and in consideration of other children, we recommend that your child remain home if he or she has the following symptoms within the past 24 hours: 

  1. Fever of 100.0 or higher
  2. Severe, frequent and/or deep cough
  3. Unidentified skin rash
  4. Vomiting and/or diarrhea
  5. Conjunctivitis (pink eye)
  6. Untreated infected patches of skin (impetigo)
  7. Stiff neck, accompanied by other symptoms such as headache, fever, sensitivity to light and sound
  8. Flu-like symptoms such as chills, fever, body and muscle aches, sore throat and dry cough
  9. Strep throat symptoms such as chills, fever, difficulty swallowing, earache, and/or abdominal pain
  10. Cold-like symptoms such as running nose with thick discharge
  11. Has been receiving antibiotic medications for less than 48 hours

 Please be assured that we do all that we can to provide a clean, healthy and safe environment for your family. If you do need to miss a class due to illness, please contact your educator to schedule a make-up class.  

Refund Policy

Our studio offers the following refund policies. Only one policy will apply to the class your child is registered for. The class description and the registration process will identify the exact refund policy for the class you have chosen.

Deposits are not refundable, but tuition and materials fees are refundable if we are notified in writing or by email 2 weeks prior to the start of the class.

Privacy Policy

We promise to respect your privacy. We do not sell, rent, loan or transfer any personal information regarding our customers or their children to any third parties. Any information you provide about yourself or your children is held with the utmost care and security and will not be used in ways to which you have not consented.

Information gathered on our web site is collected and used by us and Kindermusik International. We will not collect any personal information about adults or children except when specifically and knowingly provided by them. If we collect any personally identifiable information about children, we will first obtain their parents' consent. Examples of personally identifiable information include full name and birth date.

Use of Information

Information collected by us is used internally by our authorized individuals for three main purposes. First, we may collect information for improving our site by seeing which areas, features, and products are most popular. Second, we may collect information in order to personalize the site for our customers. Third, we may collect personal information from visitors who request additional information about Kindermusik or our studio, a Free Preview Class Coupon, or who choose to register for classes online.

We hope that you will want to provide information about yourself, because it will make your experience here more valuable to you. If you are comfortable sharing some basic information, you will receive enhanced services that are impossible to offer to anonymous users. Examples of such services may include email notices of special and discounted items, e-newsletters, and special mailings related only to this studio. In addition, you may choose to receive occasional emails from Kindermusik International, including free developmental activities and special offers.

On occasion, we may also share non-personal, summary information regarding our customers with unrelated third parties (for example, we may publicly disclose the aggregate number of registered users of our web site). However, we will not share any personal information about any particular customer.

Registering for class online is a completely safe experience!

We use SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)--the highest standard in online encryption technology--to ensure that your personal and credit card information remains secure. SSL encryption allows you to register with confidence, knowing that only you and Kindermusik have the ability to access your information.

Keeping customer information private and secure is a top priority.

Whenever you access a secure page on our site, the information you send is immediately encrypted for your protection. There are two simple ways to see if you are on a secure page:

  • Look at the URL (website address) in your browser. If you are connected to a secure server, the URL will always begin with "https" rather than "http."
